ADVANCED SCENE STUDY WTIH MIKAEL BURKE
In this course for experienced actors, you will explore three different scenes in depth over eight weeks. Hone your script analysis and rehearsal skills with talented peers, an expert instructor, and compelling scenes. Throughout the course, Mikael will assign scenes on a prescriptive basis to challenge you and your classmates to take greater risks and explore acting choices (safely) outside your comfort zone.
Please note, this advanced class requires significant outside work: students are required to rehearse outside of class a minimum of twice a week per scene. For two weeks during the session, actors will be simultaneously working on two scenes. For those two weeks they will be meeting with two partners, twice a week outside of class (a total of four rehearsals).
