Testimonials for the Acting Studio Chicago

"Since taking Advanced Scene Study with Kurt, I am more willing to take risks and make bold choices because they are based on solid script analysis and truthful personalization."

Lily Mojekwu

Adv. Scene Study Student

"Dave was very clear on what we needed to do in a positive, but not 'blowing sunshine up your skirt' fashion. He was great."

"We want to make sure you understood the tremendous impact the Summer
Audition Clinic had on our son Nick. He had always enjoyed his roles in
school plays, but the Clinic gave him the opportunity to feel immersed in
acting and to learn from professionals whose skills he admired. The result was he
was motivated like we have rarely before seen, and the atmosphere of support,
collaboration and professionalism really allowed his burgeoning interest to
blossom. All any parent can hope for their child is that he find something—a sport,
an activity, an area of study—that truly captures his interest and enthusiasm. Nick has found his activity of choice, and thanks to Acting Studio, was able to learn a lot in a short time. He entered the program curious to learn more about acting, and left with his interests confirmed and his skills greatly enhanced. We could not hope for more. Thank you."

"Linda made everyone comfortable enough to make mistakes and to learn from them. Her feedback was spot on!"

“I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed Lindsay's workshop on Sunday.  I liked that she brought in different headshots to show the difference between a good and a bad headshot, and she did a great job of explaining what to look for in a headshot when looking at the work of different photographers.  She also spent time talking about scams; how to spot them and how to avoid them.  In addition, her advice on how to submit to agents, when to sign with one, and when to go union was invaluable.  I would highly recommend this class to anyone looking to begin expanding their acting training into an acting career. On a personal note, I wanted to thank you and the office staff for always being so accessible.  I loved that when I called and said, "This is Sutton," you guys knew who I was.  I have taken classes elsewhere, and I can guarantee, they didn't know me from Adam, so I really liked that you guys took the time to know me. Also, my class was fantastic, and I absolutely loved Doug.  I trusted him completely, and I felt incredibly comfortable in his class. I just wanted to say that I would definitely recommend Acting Studio Chicago to anyone, and thanks for a great experience!”

"My daughter and son (both age 14) have been involved with Acting Studio Chicago for almost one year now. From classes to private coaching, they always walk away with a feeling of confidence from the knowledge and direction they have been given. When I asked my daughter what she likes best about ASC, she rattled off that she loves the variety she gets such as on-camera, cold reading, stage dialect, stage combat, and script interpretation. She also mentioned how interesting it is to work with different instructors with whom she is also able to engage in conversation. My son especially likes his one-on-one coaching. As a parent, I find the staff to be quite personable and if I do not get a hold of someone immediately, my messages or emails are very quickly returned. The end of session presentations by students are always so enlightening and amazing. I was recently unable to get to a presentation until the very end and was thrilled when Rachael Patterson (studio director) had my daughter and her partner do their dialogue again for the audience so I could see it. We often call in when my kids have last minute auditions and get the necessary coaching we need. It's an all around comfortable yet classy establishment with fabulous people!"
