Kids- Grades 3-5 12:30-2:30pm

This class will use improv and theater games to teach young actors to use their imagination. These improvisational skills are essential to strong commercial auditions. While developing their creativity we will introduce students to the basics of commercial audition skills: the interview, MOS, and a variety of copy. Students will learn audition etiquette by participating in mock auditions. Class culminates with an Agent session - see below.
Kids - Grades 6-8 1pm-3:30pm
Jamie Stires of TP&R Casting
This class will use improv and theater games to teach young actors to use their imagination. These improvisational skills are essential to strong commercial auditions. We also teach students how to make the essential adjustments between acting for the stage and acting for the camera when working on film/television scripts. Students will learn audition etiquette by participating in mock auditions. Class culminates with an Agent session - see below.
Teens - Grades 9-12
On Camera I with Doug McDade and Matt Miller
1:00-3:30pm
This on-camera class is designed for teens who are either working professionally or who aspire to. In addition to sharpening their commercial and film audition skills, our studetns learn about the business and how to handle a variety of on-camera audition situations. Matt Miller, associate freelance casting director at TP&R Casting will conduct mock auditions during 3 of the 10 weeks. Class culminates with an Agent session - see below.
On Camera II with Doug McDade
10am-12:30pm
This class picks up where On Camera I left off. Students will continue sharpen their commercial and film audition skills, working with a wide variety of material. learn about the business and how to handle a variety of on-camera audition situations.
All Classes
Parents will be invited to join us on May 16 when we meet with 2 top Chicago Agents: Dawn Gray of Gray Talent and Jennie Wilson of Stewart Talent. Panel discussion of the Chicago on-camera industry will be followed by a Q&A.
