On Camera 3: Advanced Camera Skills for the Professional Actor with Janelle Snow

This class is for the working actor who is confident in their stage craft but wants to expand their skill set and build confidence in front of the camera. Learn how to prep in real audition time for roles in a variety of genres and styles, including procedurals, melodramas, scifi/fantasy, sitcoms, and commercial copy. Audition and business strategies are discussed as well as scene work and playback every week.

Ideal for the actor with a BFA or MFA in Theatre with several post collegiate, professional theatre credits.


PREREQUISITE: Strong theatre background and

new student audition required.

Janelle Snow brings over two decades of industry experience “on both sides of the camera” to the classroom. She has appeared on stage at Steppenwolf, Goodman, Victory Gardens and more. On-camera appearances include the television shows Boss, The Beast, E/R, Early Edition and Turks, and the films The Watcher, New Port South,  Death of a President, and The Widower. On “the other side of the camera” Janelle assisted Casting Director Jane Alderman for several years.  Full Bio here.


Studio Director Rachael Patterson brings 25 years of experience teaching, coaching & casting in the Chicago market to the classroom.
Rachael also teaches ‘Acting for the Camera at The Theatre School at DePaul Universtiy and University of Illinois Chicago
